Audits - Healthy Organization Initiative

Power Building | Multi-State Campaigns | Conference | Healthy Organization Initiative | Mentoring | Executive Director Training | Information Sharing

Many non-profit advocacy organizations are comprised of passionate people, working hard to protect and enhance the environment, often with limited resources. As a result, it is difficult to find the time to step back and form a broader, less personal perspective, do the periodic checks required to ensure that the organization and staff are doing what is necessary to stay healthy for the long haul.

Through our Healthy Organization Initiative, the State Environmental Leadership Program provides the outside, neutral perspective that makes this task easier. This organizational assessment consists of a thorough document review, an onsite interview with staff and a final written report that details our assessment, suggestions and recommended resources.

- Suki Molina, Idaho Conservation League

The assessment examines:

It is an unfortunate fact that most nonprofits are being hit hard by the economy; the Healthy Organization Initiative can help make the shrinking pool of resources stretch even further while helping to ensure the long-term success of the organization. Our organizational assessment can help organizations ensure they are doing all they can to be strong, sustainable and effective.
